Admission Process

The process of admission to the GTA education and training program involves completing the application form (see below), supplying the additional information requested, paying the $110 non-refundable processing fee, and attending a group and individual interview with members of the GTA faculty.

Applications are processed upon receipt (i.e. you will be booked into the group or individual interview). Early application is advised in order to secure a place.

Further applications will be considered, beyond the closing date.  Applications are invited for the 11th of November.  Places are subject to availabilty.

1. Group Interview

The group interview with members of the GTA faculty will be in October.

The group interview will involve an experiential exercise including an opportunity to share your experience and engage in some dialogue with other participants in the group. It will not be a group therapy session. Rather, it will give you an opportunity to experience what it is like to be in a group setting that approximates the GTA learning context and to engage in an activity based on the GTA learning methodology and relational gestalt principles and methods. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about the course.

2. Individual Interviews

Applicants will also be required to attend an individual interview with a member of faculty. The 30 minute interview will be an opportunity for applicants to expand further on their experience and their interest in joining the training program.  The interviews will take place

Acceptance into the course is communicated personally by telephone and followed-up with an enrollment package. Applicants confirm their place by signing the course contract and paying a $1500 deposit.
